Can I book one week before the party?

We recommend that you book the party as soon possible. A month before the party is ideal to secure a date and time. The best idea is to contact us to find out if there is time available on your preferred date. Four days notice is the minimum for a mobile party booking.

Can the guns be used indoors?

Yes. We can configure the guns to run both indoors and outdoors.  Setting them to indoor mode is easy to do for games that require it.

Do sessions go ahead rain, hail or shine?

Sessions will go ahead rain or shine. If there is a high chance of a thunderstorm then the session will be canceled for your safety. We will still allow a session to go ahead if it is just raining. Call us before your session if you are uncertain. A refund will be given on prepaid bookings if a session is canceled by us due to bad weather. For private bookings the booking party must call us at least 2hrs before the booking to cancel your booking, conditions apply. The weather forecasters are often wrong and we simply do not cancel a booking based on a weather forecast.

Do you remind us of our booking?

We only send SMS reminders on the Wednesday or Thursday before the booking.  SMS reminders are only sent to customers who have booked for Battlefield Tamborine and who have supplied us with a mobile number.  This service isn’t available to mobile and other services.

Does it hurt when I get hit?

No. A harmless IR beam is fired from the gun and does not cause any harm. This IR beam works similar to the emitter in a TV remote control. When you get hit the gun will make an ouch sound. No projectiles are used, no pain is experienced by the player when they are shot at.

Does Laser Squad have insurance cover?

Laser Squad has $10M public liability insurance cover.

How do I know I have been hit?

When you get hit or “tagged” by another player your gun will make an ouch sound and there will be a slight pause before you can return fire. When you loose all your hit points your gun will make a sound similar to “medic, medic, man down, man down” and this means your gun is dead.

What are the facilities at Battlefield Tamborine?

Ample car parking, plenty of area to setup for your group, toilets, lots of trees for shade, 110 acres of bushland that can be split into 2 battlefields.  BBQ hire is available at $20 per session.    There are also marquees, tables, and chairs but these are available on the basis of first in first served.

The field is conveniently located 15 mins from the cafe’s and shops on Tamborine Mountain.

What do I do when I lose all my health?

Raise your gun up in the air so that other players know that you are out of the game. Proceed back to the respawn base or whatever place the Field Staff have declared as the place to go.

What Happens If We Cancel

Cancellation can be found here for Battlefield Tamborine and here for mobile bookings.

What is the minimum age to play at Laser Squad?

The minimum age is 7 yrs old. We find this age is the minimum due to the 3.5 kg weight of the tagger/gun.

What obstacles are required for the games?

Trees, houses, and structures are the best cover. Obviously you don’t need a forest or heavily wooded area to provide enough cover for a great game. Most backyards are suitable if the yard is big enough and if there is enough cover/obstacles for people to hide behind. If you are uncertain about the cover or size of the venue you are considering then we would be happy to determine the suitability over the phone. We can also use council parks for group bookings.

When do we have to arrive for session at the battlefield?

We recommend to arrive at least 30 mins before your booking starts.

Where can we play?

Battlefield Tamborine is our main venue and is located a convenient 40 mins from Jindalee, or 15 mins from Beenleigh.  If you want us to come to you then backyards are the best choice as they are the most convenient for yourself. Local parks are also a great area to play in.
